Yhenneko Taylor, PhD Joins Public Health Programs Advisory Board

Dr. Yhenneko Taylor, an alumna from the Health Services Research PhD program from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, has agreed to join the Public Health Programs Advisory Board for a three year term. Dr. Taylor also has a Master’s in Statistics from North Carolina State University. She spent her early career as a biostatistician with the Institute for Health and Social Research at Shaw University where she collaborated on studies that investigated sources of racial and ethnic health disparities.

After completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Taylor joined Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas Healthcare System) as a Research Scientist. In her current role as Director of Health Services Research, she supervises a team of researchers who apply quantitative and qualitative research methods to answer questions to improve patient care.

Dr. Taylor is looking forward to the opportunity to use her experiences to help shape a rewarding learning experience for future public health researchers and practitioners at UNC Charlotte. In her free time, Dr. Taylor enjoys using her undergraduate degree in Chemistry to perform cooking experiments in her kitchen.
