Helping Our Students Have a Special Experience
Tough economic times add a challenge to providing the high quality educational experience we demand of our department. We have established four funds:
- The Public Health Department Fund gives us the most flexibility. We use this fund primarily to host special events focusing on our students, alumni, faculty, and general community. Good examples of these types of activities are bringing in outside speakers, organizing community and advisory committee meetings, and hosting informational sessions for prospective students.
- The Student Support Fund: Health Administration targets those most interested in enhancing the experience of graduate students in Health Administration. It supports student focused activities including research, travel, development, and community engagement.
- The Student Support Fund: Public Health targets those most interested in enhancing the experience of undergraduate and graduate students in Public Health. It supports student focused activities including research, travel, development, and community engagement.
- The Donna C. Arrington Public Health Graduate Scholarship was established in recognition of Donna Arrington's pioneering public health work, highlighted by her contributions as the first Executive Director of the Regional HIV/Aids Consortium. This scholarship supports students who are destined to become tomorrow's public health leaders working for social justice.
