The University of North Carolina Charlotte’s “Forum on Health Care Reform: Perspectives from the Community” was held in partnership with the Graduate Public Health Association, the Public Health Association and Health Care for America Now! The program was conducted during National Public Health Week 2009, and was featured in the June/July issue of Nation’s Health. The Graduate Public Health Association also organized a photo contest, exhibit and reception featuring a display of the photos. The winning photo by MSPH student Dana Turner (shown below) showed a smiley face made of vegetables, and was designed to promote healthy living by encouraging people to see vegetables in a different light.
