Like all campus units, the Department engages in intensive strategic planning processes that involve faculty, administrators, and community partners. The strategic planning process is iterative and forward-looking, and aligns both ‘top-down' and ‘bottom-up' initiatives resulting from thoughtful review of campus and system priorities, regional and state needs, and departmental talent and preferences. Each year the Department updates its 2005-2010 Academic Plan; and produces an Annual Report that summarizes highlights and progress on its complement of goals.
