Carolinas COPD Symposium Attracts Over 300

Healthcare providers from across the reigon involved in the care of COPD patients attended the 2015 Carolinas COPD Symposium at UNC Charlotte. The event was hosted by the Department of Public Health Sciences for the third consecutive year. The symposium provided an opportunity for providers involved in COPD to learn the latest information about the disease from nationally recognized experts, hear about best practices and network with others from numerous institutions in the Carolinas. A highlight of the daylong symposium was an update on the South Carolina and North Carolina COPD Strategic Plans which were supported, in part, by NHLBI’s Learn More Breathe Better® campaign.
